The Pellet Smoker "Crutch"

Pellet Smokers have grown in popularity due to the "ease of use" and hands off cooking style. Their biggest weakness is that they all fail to deliver that great smoked flavor people have become accustomed to when cooking with wood or charcoal, until now. Pick up a Weber 7403 Char-basket ($19.99 on Amazon), use BGE fire starter wedged into 8-10  pieces lump charcoal to start fire. Throw small chunk of hickory, mesquite or favorite hardwood (wrapped in foil with little opening to breath) on top of the coals. You have now just added 5X smoked flavor to your protien. Enjoy!!
